Should be a 1980 SC engine.

My data shows: 1980 SC USA 3.0 930/07 case with s/n 6400001 to 640?999

Think it would be a 914-6 number if it is on the top of the motor near the flywheel.

Were all guessing since we don't know the engine type number. IIRC the 1970 914/6 engine serial numbers went from # 640001 - 6400889 for the 901/36 case; then 6403001 to 3??? for the 901/37 case; then 6404001 to 4??? for the 901/38 case and 6407001 to ???? for the 901/39 case. So they did not have a 6401??? s/n case. I could be wrong.
