964 cam tower or 993 cam tower

Race engine
964 heads (worked)
964 rockers

I had a pair of 993 cam towers, but the cam shafts damaged the journals on the housing.

I mistakenly acquired a set of 964 cam towers. Now I'm trying to decide if
I part ways with the 964 cam towers and find a set of 993 cam towers?

Unless you're using hydraulic rockers why not just use the 964 ones?

Well in some ways -- that's what I'm asking.

The 993 towers look like they would have the opportunity to leak less as the rockers are encapsulated.

Does the 993 have a better rocker oiling scenario?

Rocker oiling yes-but cam lobe oiling-uhuh-you'd need to add holes in the spray bar
