How to identify cams?

I have a 2.4 former mfi engine I have had for years.. I am taking it down for heads and probably p&'s.. How can I tell what cams are in there and if they are regrinds?

Usually, there will be a stamping on the bearing end if they've been worked and possible a stamping on the nose.
Factory cams have a casting number on the side which can be looked up in reference books.

Thanks I will check .. The engine has defiantly been apart before and has plugs in the mfi heads already so I would think they would have used different cams then mfi for carbs.. I guess we will see.
