MFI Filter Console

We are trying to completely refurbish and MFI system and looking at the Filter Console ITEM 6 is missing from the unit that we have installed on the car.

It is shown as a 'Shim' and is NLA.

Does anyone know its function and the correct thickness?

Chris, just a standard copper washer to seal the fuel. Just pulled one and it measures 0.9mm crushed. So a 1.0mm copper washer ill do. Hope this helps.

Item 12 is the 'seal' which is indeed a Copper Washer.

The 'shim' appears to be a separate part which is why I am confused.

Chris, I busted checked PET and see the shim, just checked 2 other units and neither of those have the shim. One unit is on my 70 S and worked as it should. Car is actually a 71E, just running a S engine. Didn't want to mislead.

I have checked 4 of them - none have the D****d shim either ???
