Mega squirt. 2.4 engine build?

I am in the process of building a 2.4 with mild ported heads, s pistons, soles cams and currently have webers. I am considering doing mega squirt again and making a sheet metal intake similar to the 3.2 or vario ram 3.6.. And have a few questions.

1st would this be an acceptable combo?

2nd would it be necessary when building the intake to have. Rubber connection like the 3.2 or could it be 1 piece. I am assuming 2 pcs required because of the engine growing?

3rd my Weber cores are very nice I am just not a huge fan of carbs and fuel injection is so nice and I have had good success with mega squirt on past builds.

911 Turbo's used a one piece pancake intake manifold that tied the intakes together. It is a cast magnesium unit. So a one piece aluminum intake should not require an expansion provision. I think the reason the 3.2 Carrera intake is in two pieces is for ease of casting.

plenum

Ben,
Are you planning on ITBs with a shared plenum? If so, you may want to touch base with Marc Zurlinden. He has developed a very cool intake.

regards,
al

Was thinking single throttle body like a 3.2 intake.

Very cool idea, seeing as prices of 3.2 intakes seem to be quite high these days.

I want to do EFI in the future (when I can afford it) and want to get a baseline with carbs first so it's easier to chase where the issue is, Fuel or Spark, when I go EFI.

If it's like the other stuff you've made, you'll have people wanting you to make copies to sell.

Ben this is link on a how to for a subi six plenum, a 911 would of course have to be a bit different, but it's likely a good starting point.
