Wouldn't any type of blasting, even dry ice or soda, dislodge particles and dirt that could get inside the oil galleries?

Waterborne media blasting, aka vapor blasting can use soda (or any dry blasting media) as the 'slurry' is selected by the customer. They claim this will not remain in oil passages. However it is not known how much, if any soda remains on the part after water blasting and what is necessary to remove those remnants.

My vapour blasting guy ,ccauquablasting uk, has done mine and told me to clean it well before building the engine. He spent a long time getting ride of the residue but put the owners on me to be sure. Which is only fair. Here is a little teaserhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1490352036.jpg
