3.0 pulley and belt sizes

I tried to get a belt for my 3.0, the crank pulley was the one that came with a disassembled 3.0 core and the fan and pulley half was off of another 2.7 disassembled core I bought.

The local FLAPS said I'm suppose to have a 9.5/10mm X 725mm belt, but it's too short. Measuring it out with an old longer belt it comes out to a 9.5/10mm X 740mm. Oddly enough the only belt I found in that size is a contitech for a 914/4 AC/smog belt.

Do I have the wrong pulley combo?
Does anyone have the pulley OD measurements for a 3.0?

The pulleys I have are 134mm and 95mm, the crank pulley came with the 3.0 core, the fan and pulley are from the 2.7 core.

The other fan I have is from a 69T (yes a 3rd core) and its fan pulley is 83mm.

Both the the 69T and 2.7 cores have 115mm (OD) crank pulleys.

Another person said I should have a 126mm crank pulley and an 83mm fan pulley.

I think I have it figured out, the Crank pulley is correct (130mm), but I should be using the smaller 83mm fan pulley.

whew....

The fan pulley you want to match is the 12 small holes on the fan and the outer half.
The large holes of the earlier fans changed in 77 with the increase speed of the 5 blade fan then into the 78/79 SC with the smaller fan. They all used 725 belts.
In 1980 the fan went back to the standard radius fan and the smaller crank pulley with 710 belt.

I'm actually running that combination. A 130 crank pulley from a '78 and the fan from a '70. A 740 x 10 belt works.

Thanks Gordon
Yes I've found out the stock size 725 belt is too tight, needs 9 shims to adjust and is sitting too far into the root of the pulley. I'll try the 740X10 belt.
Bit of a PITA.
