Oil Squirters 3.0

Waynes book is pretty vague on this subject

Before I apply air pressure to test my squirters, I want to be sure that I have it clear in my head

All of my squirts seem to be quite free. I can apply lite hand pressure with a plastic straw (the one that comes with a can of brake clean) and they seem to move OK (dry at the moment)

SO... when they are out they are closed???? correct?
When pressure is applied. the disk retracts this is the open condition????? Correct?

Can someone direct me to the thread how to use the tubing / bolt to test the one side

Tks for your help
