Left heat exchanger Hotter then Right heat exchanger

Why does my left heat exchangers have hotter temps the right heat exchanger. I have SSI heat exchangers and I can touch right side after 15 min at Idle. No way can I touch left drivers side. Way to hot. Is it maybe my carbs on drivers side running to lean?

Sounds like the right side isn't running properly

Depending on what you have for Induction the throttles are out of sync.

I have Zenith 40TIN carbs with tall PMO manifolds

Sync the carbs with a Unisin and that will change the exhaust temp also the way it runs so you may have to mess with the Air Bleeds as well.

You have this right: hot drivers side is running leaner than cold side (richer)

I will have my mechanic sync and adjust carbs. Thanks
