Does this case number look doctored?

I was just looking on Ebay for fun at Aluminum 2.0L case prices. Then I saw this. None of my 2.0L early cases numbers look like this- It looks ground down then restamped. Anyone else see that? Maybe I need to look closer at my cases, but I think I would remember something like that. Without me dragging out my cases, does that look right?

To my eye and your photo it's looks normal. The serial number area on the cast aluminum case has to be smoothed out before the numbers are stamped in or it will look bad over the rough alum casting IMHO.

Looks normal to me.
