915 Billet bellhousing case
 

Hey guys, so I just changed the title of the earlier thread I started here. I found a guy close enough that ill take a little drive over to, he can laser scan my 915 bellhousing case and turn it into a solidworks model. This way it could then be able to be cnc programed and cut out. I will do the scan first, see how the model turns out, change some things on the case to make areas thicker walled, beef up the bearing retainer areas and make the outside webs wider/thicker. After this I plan to get a quote on machining it out, I have actually some Initial rough quotes on material and approximate machining price given to me from a machinist friend who helped estimate the price. Sounds feasible so will see where this goes. Ill keep updating this thread.

If no drawings turn up it sounds like it will be time for a laser scan session.

This could be a fantastic resource for other 'less grand' things as well.
For example - in the middle range of 915's, bearing wear will oval out the housings in the aluminium case, I imagine precise dimensions/drawings would allow for tools to be made to accurately redrill & enlarge these for insert repairs.
