MFI pump leaking.

Gents.

Cleaning out engine Bay before the Big race next week.

But it seems like the MFI pump is leaking oil.

Oil keeps coming out under the pump, could this be an faulty seal.?

Let me know what you Think.?

Thanks - Cheers - Olsen911 - Tommy Olsen

Tommy, The whole pump has to come apart to replace that gasket. Also the thickness of the new gasket will most likely be a little ticker or thinner which will change the end play of the camshaft. Camshaft pulley bearing on the pump section and the inner bearing in the regulator section must have the endplay adjusted after replacing that gasket.
Very rare to have that gasket leak if installed properly.
I hope it's your bottom plate o-ring leaking. Easy fix.

MFI Pump Leak.

Hello Mark.

I was hoping that you would cime in. Thanks.

I don΄t want to take the whole pump apart to replace that gasket, especially if it's very rare that it leaks.

Please tell more about this bottom plate o-ring leaking. Easy fix.

Is this number 38.?

Thanks - Cheers - Olsen911 - Tommy Olsen.

P.S. still have this 2.2S pump on the shelf waiting for you to do magic.

Tommy, The bottom plate o-ring is #41. The most common oil leaks seem to be the pulley seal #29. When you get your pump off you will be able to tell where the leak is coming from. Let me know what seal you need and I will get it the mail.
