Anyone have a known working spec for notched con rods?

It has been suggested that I notch the middle edge of my con rod journals on my 1970 2.2 engine in order that oil leaving the journal goes to the piston next for some extra piston cooling, instead of adding piston squirters.

Does anybody have a known working spec for these notches, e.g. 1mm wide, 1mm deep, rounded shoulders and base?

There's a video on YouTube of someone doing this exact thing, here's the link:

In the comments someone talks about the standard for vw rods doing this is a 1.5mm v notch.

Maybe this helps.
