One thing that could be done is if everyone had the technical question or detail in every title, then don't even look at the threads that don't have one.

Easy solution - users can't post links until they have accumulated 25 posts.

Or users cant start new threads until they accumulate 10 comments in existing threads. I'm on a couple forums that do that very thing and it works great. Sure, as a new user it's a little cumbersome, but if you're not a spammer it's not that big of a deal.

Make membership by referral or endorsement only. Viewing is open but posting can only be enabled by contacting one of the Mods with either the referees name or stating your case credibly.

I'm sure something can be done to stop these spammers by IP address tracking. I doubt they're using address blocking via VPN, prob just some dickhead sitting in his bedroom at mums house, using the household router....
