Porsche 911SC Idling Hot
Driving a 1974 911 with 911SC engine. Car running like a champ since it's recent service a few months ago where car was tuned and a few spark clubs were replaced and the oil was changed.
Today was an unseasonably hot day in Kansas City. Car was driving great but was idling around 1500 RPM's sporadically. Normally idles at 800 rpms. Also, after stopping for gas, car took a few extra seconds to turn over. Is this cause for concern or could it just be caused by the overly hot temperatures? Any suggestions? Many thanks. |

Yes, that is unusual...I have an '83 SC and run in the summertime in Phoenix...often over 100 degrees ambient and it runs no dif than cooler weather.
