Bo, I paid $200 just to rebush and resize big end at a local machine shop. No balancing factored in. :(

Wished I'd have known about CE the 1st go 'round with my rods.

Yes and yes. It works well. The trick is use long chains to support both ends to get repeatability. I did mine to .1 g, overkill for sure. The spread on the factory balance was 3.7g on the total rod weights but 7.2 g on the small ends.

Yes, I couldn't get repeatibility the way I was doing it. Locating dowels and the chains alleviate that I see.

When I used to moment-weigh parts, I had dedicated fixtures made of thick SS.
