Just solved a cold start issue I had been having so thought I would post the results in case it helps someone experiencing a similar symptom. After completely rebuilding a 77 turbo 3l, which resides in my 75 911S which had been in storage in pieces for 20 years, it would start right up, idle fine, but then stall. Would not restart unless it sat for a few minutes, then it would start, idle fine for about 15 seconds then stall again. Pressing the gas pedal had no response. This would repeat until eventually, once the engine had warmed up, usually about four or five of these start/stall cycles, it would finely start and not stall and would now be totally responsive to the throttle, essetially running fine now. The culprit turned out to be no 12volts getting to the WUR. Because this car had a lot of wiring issues which I had to sort through during the rebuild, getting 12v to the WUR took some effort, had to essentially replace the wiring to the WUR and the AAR, but I totally solved the cold start problem. Now the car starts right up and stays running. A good thing.
