oil pressure spring
Hi all
911 race motor 2.0 .It already has the oil pressure bypass mod along with a turbo oil pump. The bypass and relief valve are the updated type but it only has short springs (70mm) for both valves and no hollow spacer. In view of the higher capacity pump does it need the updated (longer) springs and the spacer or keep the short ones without spacer? Thank you. |

I'd like to know too! Just about to start assembly on a '77 2.7L engine which has the same spring set up as yours. After reading Wayne's book, I purchased new non-matching springs, new pistons and a spacer already, as I assumed it was the way to go, but would love to hear otherwise if it's better...

I'd use the updated longer springs. They were used with the higher capacity pumps from the factory.
