Left cam housing / cap question

Quick question and I feel like a moron for having to ask but really can't find anything to answer my question.

Rebuilding a 911 2.7 race motor - have Elgin Cams (profile 310/296). When I took the engine apart I took a ton of pictures but somehow missed the rear of the left cam housing. I sent my cams to Elgin for care and my housings and case etc to a machine shop in another state. Didn't notice until today but the left camshaft has an extra"lobe" at the end - much like the S cams do - but I don't remember taking a cap off the motor when I tore it down. The machine shop capped the right but left the left side open (and the lobe sticks out about 1/2 inch). Did I just misplace the cap and need to buy one or did the machine shop forget to cap the left cam end? Please forgive the elementary question. I've also included progress to this point.

You need a seal installed in the end of the camhousing....no cap.

Thanks rsscotty - quick question - that seal will prevent oil leaks from the rear of the housing? It seems like that would not be sufficient - I am an amateur but seems like I would have problems down the line. My gasket set had one that looked like that in there but it wouldn't fit around the end lobe on the cam or in the opening on the housing. Can I use a cap on there (Patrick Motorsports sells one) if I want to to feel more comfortable?
