993 cylinder question
 

A fellow PCA member asked me which brand of rings would be best for his 993. I'm not familiar with the 993 cylinder types so I wasn't comfortable answering without first checking with the experts out there.

First question, are 993 cylinders Nikasil or Alucil or could they be either? (like the earlier models)

And the second question, anyone have a preference of ring brand?

All 993 cylinders are Nikasil. Goetze are the preferred rings in street engines.
