2.25 S weber settings with DC 40 cams

Hi
Q1: does anyone have recommendations for 40IDA3C for 2.2L S e.g., 85mm Carillo CP S pistons (9.8:1), John Dougherty DC40 cam, ported intake manifold opened for S, ported and larger S valve in heads by Craig Garrett. I am starting with 34 145, 52, 70 F26. 5 degrees of advance. 3.2 pounds of pressure, all floats correct. All shafts tight.

Performanceoriented 1quickS table lists 2 2.2 911S settings and (E) is missing. Which S one do you think is correct? I have been told that 32 is more correct than 34 as well. This setup runs great at 2200 and up rpm, but a 1 degree less rotation of the idle speed setting to reduce the engine idle speed causes the engine to stop. This is the first time I have experienced this simple problem where I cannot get a good setting to make it idle.

Looking for anybody who has built this engine or something really close to this.

thanks Marlin

I would try a 55 idle jet.

ok, will try that.

Anybody have insights on no idling at all when the butterflies are closed? I should be able to get it to idle.
thanks
Marlin

My 2,5SS used 32 vents, 135 mains, 170 airs with F3 imulsions and 65 idles. 170 rwhp with E cams.

I could not get my carbs to work with 55 idles.

Once you get the motor running you MUST either have it dinoed or get an A/F gauge to verify your settings.
