well.. this depends. What's the temperature outside??
What sort of driving are you doing.. stop n go.. highway? Do you have an oil cooler? aftermarket? original? if so.. does the fan kick on? is your engine shroud properly setup and the fan turning properly? How many blades are on your fan? I've heard that on older cars, updating to a newer style fan blade can help improve cooling. I've also heard that certain oils will run hotter than others. |
What car is it in? What gauge is that? What sender are you using? What is your intake? Carbs?
I would use an IR thermometer on the oil tank to see what your oil temp is. |
Indicates you are running hot, checked my spare gauge insert which has the increments shown right @ the top of the insert ,you need to turn the whole gauge to see it,mine is a 911 insert and your gauge appears to be 914 or 914/6 ,don't know if these marks are there on those inserts.
However looks like you are atleast running 120C which is bloody hot,is your sender ok,I go new on these cause its cheap insurance. Good luck. |
