alright, thanks guys for all the tips. Especially to DracoA50 for the Facetime support. Together we got it sorted. I put on of the exhaust rockers in place to confirm, and all is good. I dunno what crack i was smoking last night when i came up with the notion we used the wrong notch on the pulley, TDC was the white painted one, not the V shaped one.
