Paint codes for engine rebuild?
 

Are there actual paint codes for the heat exchangers and the fan? Want to have everything painted and or powder coated while the engine is out. 1992 964 Turbo. Thanks guys

We did a very accurate research when i had to paint mine.
The original color for the heat exchangers IS
Pantone Cool Gray 10C (solid coat reference book)
Vht produces an high temp paint that is very close
Pantone Cool Gray 7C.
My car is a 1973 model... Can't say if this apply to your car.

You are going to paint the fan and housing?

There is a very recent thread on PCing the engine tin. Could depend on what the powder coater is using. BTW, I have found that the gloss of the factory stuff has varied over the years.

What else are you painting?

Just the fan and heat exchangers are getting powder coated something other than Black.
