I missed this so went back and found it, thank you.

I stand behind my previous statement about the 993SS cams and packaging your build. Of the standard grinds available the 993SS is the largest I am aware of that can be used without relief cuts in the pistons. If off-boost torque is critical then a cam must be chosen to accommodate, such as the SC grind.
For this build HP is the first priority and off-boost torque secondary. I chose the 993SS cams to hit the HP number. This thread was created to share real world experience with big power CIS engines, how they respond off-boost, and what was done to bolster that area.
I didn't get deep into specifics of the build in order to stay on topic. 400WHP is easy, we do that every day with bolt-ons and a cam change. No milestone there. This build has higher goals.
