The optical CAS I'm using in the above prototype is a Nissan SR20DET unit
the adaptor plate is 3D printed ABS at the moment but will be Acetal or Aluminium
The sensor has been modified by cutting off the plug and bending the pins up to fit inside the distributor housing

This is a 928 distributor so will need to confirm dimensions for a 911 unit before committing

The Nissan unit has 180 effective crank teeth and four cam (360+4 pattern) and that high a resolution needs a good ECU to read it (AEM infinity does!)
there are lower resolution wheels available though

the Bosch shaft is thicker than the usual 10mm Nissan/Mitsubishi/GM setups so a laser cut disc is probably going to be necessary

I'm looking to see if I can use a DSM or GM Optispark sensor instead of the Nissan unit so the hacking of the plug can be avoided
