I decided to stay with a half-bay intercooler so that I could continue to use the decklid condenser...and the "Mac Daddy" Griffith kit I mentioned above uses TWO additional condensers in the driver's rear wheel well.

This is the key to getting useful AC in these cars--with no front grill area to speak of, you've got to maximize the condensers in other places to get the requisite heat transfer. Expensive...yeah. But if you wanna drive in the summer months in the southern US, you have to make some pretty big upgrades to the stock system.
