To get to the nut so's ya can extract the dizzy you'll need to loosen the adjustment nut and turn the VA outta the way then it's visible. Here's a pic from Pelican showing the adustment nut
http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/914_timing/914_timing_pic2_big.JPG. It's a hard pic to read. Mark the placement of the dizzy before loosening and twisting it outta the way so's you can get it back in the right position. That way it'll at least start & you can re-time it.
Don't worry 'bout the cost of shipping. I think it's only a couple bucks & the tape is a used one from work!
