it seems the TD (tacho Drive) circuit is simply grounding 12v source from the tachometer on the Black/Violet wire
So the TD circuit is the one to use, connected to opto+. opto- should be grounded?

I was just reading in the MS manual that if you use OPTO, that VR+ should be connected to +12v. Is that right? It doesn't ring a bell with this thread.
