Camshafts: the key to this is your low 6.5:1 compression. It just sucks. Therefore IF you do cams, you need ones that make the most of the CR to maintain as much off-boost torque as possible. That means stock camshafts, SC camshafts, or Edelweiss camshafts (of which we are the US importer/distributor). The SC cams will peak in the low/mid 5,000rpm range; the Edelweiss cams carry past 6,000rpm but overall you are limited by the design of the flat manifold so the engine is usually all done by in the low 6,000rpm range irrespective of camshaft profile, porting, or CR.


Sample TK 3.3L: ported, single plug, headers, muffler, LNIC, K27-7200, factory SC cams, just 1.05bar boost.

Hi chris,probably a dumb question but if rahl or any of us with the stock 930 tall gears if we were to swap out for a shorter gears would that help him get better performance out his motor??
