The price appreciation over the last few years is a double edged sword. Sure its helped the value of my cars, well maybe not my 76 Caddy Eldo vert, but the 911's and the Alfa's for sure. On the down side its pushed too many cars out of the hobby pricing and into prices that make them difficult to own and enjoy. These real euro 964 RS's are prime examples. At $100k to $125k I would sell my lot and buy one to have here. At $300k plus its not happening.

I had my eye on one of the ex US 964 Cup cars (the white ones). I followed it through the owner for a number of years. Could have bought it for $100k give or take a few times in the 2000's but things like kids and a divorce stopped me. Now forghettaboutit.
