At $100k to $125k I would sell my lot and buy one to have here. At $300k plus its not happening.

I had my eye on one of the ex US 964 Cup cars (the white ones). I followed it through the owner for a number of years. Could have bought it for $100k give or take a few times in the 2000's but things like kids and a divorce stopped me. Now forghettaboutit.
I agree with you 100%. I passed on my friends 94 turbo S flachbau for $130k back 6 or 7 years ago now they are trading for $1.5mm. Although a red not as nice RS sold recently for around $135k IIRC.

The 76 caddy was a great car last of the 8.2 liters. My grandfather had one in a rust orange color. You floated above the road surface. Even they are bringing more than MSRP.

The RS is a unique car so many differences over the C2's. I have a friend who owns a couple of the US Cup Cars one has about 6k miles on it. That is another league to itself. Not that long ago I would spend a lot of time on the track with a couple now you don't see them anymore.

I wouldn't mind having the 3.8RS in speed yellow either. This would make a fun street car. I am still a sucker for the widebody cars.

The 924 carrera GT was a great example as well. I remember going up against one at the Glen back in the mid 80's very capable cars and the precursor to the 944.

I am still partial to the 74 3.0RS. I had a clone built on a 79 SC using all factory parts and max moritz built engine. Had the proper flairs, bumper, fuchs and everything. Still one of the best driver cars I have owned. Can't keep them all.
