Yes the final version of the muffler requires a more quiet baseline than our Street muffler body can provide, however the Street muffler body worked just fine to test the valves. That design also allowed me to change out the valves rather quickly, the final design has the valve welded in as part of the assembly. Other systems I see also have the valve welded in and the first thing I thought was you are screwed if that valve goes bad. So most of the testing time ended up being valve placement and longevity. With the Street muffler body I could place the valve closer to the turbo giving it a hellish environment to survive.
