More typical for the intercooler charge pipe plumbing to be the culprit of these symptoms. Many things can exhibit this way but are a little less common. I would start by checking the IC charge pipe then throttle body O-rings then related vac hoses then injection blocks. If all these are good move to the BOV, which can also present the same symptoms if not functioning properly. Those are the most obvious, if all check out move to the fuel system then ignition.
