Well the work friend has a friend that I believe talked him into the project and then moved. It was also his first car project and I think once the motor was out maybe he was a little intimidated / didn't have the time. I've been working on cars from the time I was a boy. My father is the most patient man on the planet when it comes to me. However, I want it done right the first time by someone who has been building engines for years. My feeling is that there's are far greater chance of me screwing something up than getting it perfect the 1st go around. In addition if I were ever to sell this I'm sure I'd recoup the vast majority of the rebuild cost, just by having it done by someone with a good reputation.
