If you have some good hills, that's the time to cover the entire map with VEAL tuning.

Don't be afraid of using it to tune boost either, it works great.

What's cool, is you can turn on filters in case you have areas that are tune good.

For instance, you can set the load filter to not adjust anything in vacuum areas so it'll tune only boost areas. Or, once I've gotten idle dialed in, I may put 1200 RPM in the min RPM filter.

You can set narrow windows of load and/or RPM if you have some particularly problem areas where the area of the map may be fine, etc.
