What is on the other end of that shaft? Is there a nut securing the shaft through the throttle body? In my mind, I have to think that shaft must come out in the direction you are looking at. I do not see how that shaft could be pressed in and then that fitting pressed on after it is installed. So, I would look on the other side to see if there is something to loosen that will then allow the shaft to slide out with that fitting still attached as shown. Sorry, I do not have a Carrera assembly to look at for reference.

I know it is different, but here is a link with pictures for a 930 throttle body flip procedure, in case it gives you some ideas.
