Mate, after what you have been thu, if that is your biggest problem you are on the home straight.

But all the above. I have pulled mine out of the 930 (weight). And can see how it operates. A motor driving a spiral cable type thing in tracks. So most likely something sticking. If you can fully retract and have a look at tracks. Clean as much as possible. I would suggest a liberal dose of Silicon spray in preference to WD40/CRC. The silicon leaves a lube residue. The CRC leaves a sticky residue that picks up crap.
Clean/spray/close/open/spray/close/open. Not sure what tells the motor when to stop.
