I went to check the fuses after I read your note yesterday.
My car had been in the shop last summer with an electrical short. The short was found after many days in the shop, to be under the fuse box. The technician replaced/repaired wires under the fuse box and the ignition switch.
When I got the car back, several items were lose, including the steering wheel.

Well, long story short, the #29 fuse for the heating was missing. I took a spare one and placed it in the #29 spot and the heating is back!

The fan always ran, therefore I didn't think of checking the fuses.

Thank you for your advice and your time to chime in. I have spent $ on the heater valve and used solenoids but it could've been worse.

Thank you very much!
