A gearbox is a torque multiplier, and if you've got a lot of torque, IMO the 5-speed is better suited. Seems like when I drive a 6-speed, I'm constantly having to shift gears.

It is what I have on my RUF BTR, I did not stop changing my speeds, I had a conical short couple, he(it) has eventually breaks, I replaced him(it) by a normal conical couple and my gearbox is now longer. 340km / hour in 6800tr / mn "theoretical".
