Question Removing On-Board Computer Display

'97 328

I'm trying to pull out the on-board computer display so I can replace the bulb in the clock. I put my finger up in the hole beneath it and tug pretty hard and it does not budge.

Is there a trick or a release of some sort? I don't want to break it.

Thanks.

I checked with the local BMW service rep and he said that if you have an On Board Computer and not just a clock that as he recalls you have to take the radio out and once you do that there is a little lever that releases the OBC display.
I hope that helps. Let me know what you find.

Thanks!
I'll give that a try this weekend.

I need to pull out the radio anyway as the lights are out in that as well.
