"NA" general question

Posted 08-29-2008 at 11:38 AM by bobbydirl

It seems I remember back in the early eighties that the Turbo model came out a couple of years after I bought my 944 in 1983. Yet, I keep seeing reference to "83 944 NA". or ..."N/A". I assume "NA" means "normally aspirated".

Are these after market upgrades, or am I missing something?

If this is a stupid question, my apologies ahead of time... I have only recently begun to research the car seriously.

911 window issues

Posted 11-07-2011 at 06:15 PM by JFTusa

I purchased a 1999 911 Carrera about 4 months ago . . . low miles (42K), seems to be in good shape all around. But in the last month I've had both window operators fail. The motors are fine, but apparently the plastic parts holding the operating parts have broken.

Nothing untoward has occurred with the vehicle to cause this. Anyone with similar issues? Ideas how to avoid after they are fixed?

Thanks!

John
