Motor Swap: Phase 1

It's unfortunate I don't have the time to install the motor and tranny myself in my own garage. It's also unfortunate that I have no idea how to even begin to do this. So I'll leave the heavy lifting to the professionals, for the time being, which is exactly where I took this motor.

I like my shop. It's just untidy enough to feel homey but organized to the point that you know it's not a crapshow. Plus, I've had good experiences with them in the past with my Targa. As all good shops...

New Wheels & Motor

Drove to El Dorado Hills, Calif. yesterday to meet a super nice guy with a RS clone track car. He was selling his second set of Fikse wheels. Fronts are 9.5 with 225/40 Michelin Sport Cup tires, rears are 11 inches with 255/40. The tires are pretty racy, but have some life left in them. I'll likely go with 245s in the front and 295s in the back once these wear out.

Instead of a trip to Germany, my wife gave me the gift of Porsche for my birthday. I had a 1975 911S Targa at the time. I sold it after some donkey masquerading as a potential buyer fried the clutch while he was test driving it. If you want a heartbreaking read, click here.
