According to sources, BMW wants to develop at least 12 fully electric as well as plug-in hybrid models over the next four years. The battery-electric cars to arrive will be the iX3 SUV, the i4 sedan, the iNext SUV and an entry-level electric car based off of the current 1 series to launch sometime in 2021. We should expect it to be identical to the ICE-powered 1 Series models in terms of design with the only difference being the obvious lack of a radiator grille and the brighter colors.
