Can't get the manifold nuts off

'04 325xi, trying to swap the headers, and my mechanic and I can't seem to crack the nuts.
He's afraid that the studs will snap.

Any advice?

Hello and welcome to the forum! Have you tried a penetrating oil like Kroil?
