turn signal lens

I have a 2001 330i. The front right turn signal has gone out. The owner's manual indicates that there is a screw that must be loosened in order to pull out the lens. The screw is supposed to be located through a hole or slot where the fender bolts on to the frame.

I have located the hole/slot. But I'll be darned if I can find a screw to loosen. The only thing that appears anything like a screw looks more like a large thumbscrew which is further away from the fender.

Any help please?

Mike

Stand at the front of the car and insert a long screw driver into the hole at sort of a 45 degree angle pointed towards the rear of the car, go in about 4-5 inches. Work with me here, there is no screw, feel around for a plastic tongue, you will know when you are on it when you push it and it springs back a little. Then you need to push the tongue down and kind of push the light out at the same time. It helps if you pull the light a little with your other hand. Be gentle, you will figure it out after a few seconds.
