M 3 newbie questions

gents

i'm thinking of coming over from the Dark Side: selling my 911 and buying an 03 - 05 M3.

question is what kinds of 'issues' these cars typically have. if they are like Porsches, they're hi perf, and hi maintenance.

any input would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!

03's had a batch of bad coils from what I've found out. Aside from that I can't really find that many issues. My e46 is a much better car than my e36 was. And my e36 kicked ass.
