M3 convertible front latches
May convertible top stopped working and the BMW service center initially said it was the front latches needed to be replaced for $840. After they replaced them they said the front latch motor was bad. It was running, but they said it was slipping and so it also needed to be replaced. I'm wondering if the motor may have been the original problem and how do you determine what is malfunctioning and what needs to be replaced? Joe 2002 M3
