Pressure in expansion tank
I have a 2001 325I and every time I open up the expansion tank cap to check the fluid level I get pressure coming out from it. Is this normal because it's a close system?

You need to read some basic auto maintenance manuals, or at least your owner's manual.
YES there will be pressure in a cooling system when it is hot. It can blow out boiling water and seriously hurt you if you remove the cap when it is hot. |
