First BMW - Emissions question?
I've been on the Porsche side of this website for a long time but just got my first BMW ('01 325I). It had some rear end damage so it's all been repaired and now time to pass smog and get registration completed. The battery was disconnected so I've been using one day permits to drive it and get it to the smog shop. All the monitors are reset except two. "Secondary air system" and "Oxygen Sensor heater". The smog shops code reader show that, in the past, it had a P0102 code (mass or volume air flow A circuit low). Not sure if that's related. More driving still has not reset the two monitors. Anyone have any ideas of what is going on here?
Thanks for any suggestions. Bob |

Hi Bob - congrats on the new purchase. I'm attaching a link to our site's DIY tech articles on the E46 platform for reference and also a tech article on the MAF; if needing replacing.
